Dancing began early for me - as soon as I could walk, run, and spin, incessant twirling around the kitchen prompted the best gift I ever received - ballet lessons. I trained in Ballet, Checcetti method, until school, work and other commitments got in the way. After five years of nursing school and four years working as an RN, I took a break from the hospital setting and began teaching ballroom dance. My specialty lies in Ballroom and Latin dancing, and I love to integrate ballet technique into these styles. My "Dance Fun~damentals" class on Saturday evenings at 6:45 explores how the fundamental techniques used in beginning ballet can help support other dance styles and improve all your dances! My goal as a dance instructor is to encourage everyone to try ballroom dancing and then make it so fun, they'll never want to stop!
