LIVE Band: West End Stompers at Midtown Stomp

The West End Stompers are one of Sacramento’s true musical treasures featuring amazing musicians that will keep your feet in constant motion. Lead by Justin and Brandon Au they feature some of Sacramento’s best musicians who are able to recreate the sounds of the 20s, 30s, and 40s and transport you back to swing dancing’s roots.
But wait, dancers, there’s more! This also happens to be owner Scott Kaufman’s birthday. His actual birthday, birthday. He’s turning <redacted> years old and he’s promised to dance in the birthday jam this year. He says his dancing is a little rusty but we caught him stretching and working out recently so we’re not too worried.
Never been swing dancing before? Do you have two left feet? Do you think you lack rhythm? That’s no problem at all for us. Most dancers started out that way and we’ll help you change that. At 8:00 pm we’ll teach you the steps you need to know to get out on the floor and have a good time. The 8:00 pm class is even included in the cost of admission.
No partner? No problem. Our classes are social and rotate partners. You’ll also meet a ton of cool, new people. Do you have a partner and only want to dance with them? That’s cool with us too. When the class rotates just stay with your favorite person.
We at Spotlight Ballroom and Midtown Stomp are announcing that starting this Friday night, July 23rd, our social dances are going to change to be for vaccinated dancers only. This is for both our Friday night and Saturday night Social Dances. We will continue to watch and evaluate the situation closely over the next month.
We will accept any form of proof of vaccination including a photo or screenshot of your vaccine card or online vaccine record found here https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/.
Masks will continue to be optional for everyone and we encourage you to do what you find most comfortable. Rotating in classes is always up to you.
