Ballroom & Latin classes

Beginning Ballroom and Beginning Latin introduce a different dance each week. You can join a beginning class without having attended the week before.

Explore Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa, Bachata and West Coast Swing. As you progress, your instructor can help you choose a class level that fits your experience.

Are there dance classes for adult beginners?

Yes. The Friday 8 pm swing class and the Beginning Ballroom and Beginning Latin classes start from the beginning, so adult beginners can join without a partner or experience.

Can I take a private lesson on my own?

Yes. You can dance with your instructor. A partner is optional for the introductory private lesson.

Can I focus on one style of dance?

Yes. Start with the dance that interests you, whether that is Lindy Hop, ballroom, or Latin. You can decide what else you want to explore as you go.

What about teams and performing?

Spirit in Motion and the studio showcases offer ways to work toward a performance. You can also take classes or private lessons without joining a team.
